چکیده
Abstract An active cavitation suppression structure with jet holes on its surface is proposed for a typical hydrofoil (NACA66 MOD). Based the homogeneous equilibrium model and Zwart-Gerber-Belamri model, characteristics around before after are provided at operating condition investigated through simulation. Simulation results show that capable of regulating controlling flow field, to certain extent, suction inhibit development shedding cavitation. Four groups different rates set up, it found increase rate, effect gradually increases, lift-to-drag ratio decreases. The research shows can achieve 69.35% under premise ensuring range hydrodynamic performance does not exceed 5%. By coupling distribution shape, re-entrant pressure field fluid flowing studying periodic change mechanism suppress analyzed.

a study on thermodynamic models for simulation of 1,3 butadiene purification columns
attempts have been made to study the thermodynamic behavior of 1,3 butadiene purification columns with the aim of retrofitting those columns to more energy efficient separation schemes. 1,3 butadiene is purified in two columns in series through being separated from methyl acetylene and 1,2 butadiene in the first and second column respectively. comparisons have been made among different therm...
a study on rate making and required reserves determination in reinsurance market: a simulation
reinsurance is widely recognized as an important instrument in the capital management of an insurance company as well as its risk management tool. this thesis is intended to determine premium rates for different types of reinsurance policies. also, given the fact that the reinsurance coverage of every company depends upon its reserves, so different types of reserves and the method of their calc...
LES of Partial Cavitation Around a 2D Plane-Convex Hydrofoil Large Eddy Simulation of Partial Cavitation Around a 2D Plane-Convex Hydrofoil
Investigations of attached partial cavitation are important because to prevent damages in hydrulic machinery and to reduce the costs. As expected computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods have been developed for more than 40 years to understand this phenomenon and to improve the machinery designs, as pumps and hydraulic turbines. However, cavitation appears at high Reynolds numbers, so that, t...
متن کاملObservations of Cavitation on a Three-dimensional Oscillating Hydrofoil
A test apparatus was designed and constructed to observe the effect of sinusoidal pitching oscillations on the cavitation of thredimensional hydrofoils. The apparatus is capable of oscillating hydrofoils at a rate up to 50 Hz and provides for adjustments in oscillation amplitude and mean angle of attack. Observations of the effect of pitching oscillation on cavitation have been made for a NACA ...
متن کاملExperimental investigation of added mass effects on a hydrofoil under cavitation conditions
The influence of leading edge sheet cavitation and supercavitation on the added mass effects experienced by a 2-D NACA0009 truncated hydrofoil has been experimentally investigated in a hydrodynamic tunnel. A non-intrusive excitation and measuring system based on piezoelectric patches mounted on the hydrofoil surface was used to determine the natural frequencies of the fluid–structure system. Th...
